Edgers are for people who can't edge.

Rodents can naw through concrete believe or not. When pouring concrete for new steel buildings used in agriculture we would ask the concrete mix plant to put in some rat barrier. I was just a young kid when I first learned this. Most generally we would incorporate the barrier into the footings and stem walls. I asked what was the barrier ingredients and my boss told me is was crushed up glass. I thiught yeah if I swallowed some crushed up glass that probably do me in too. He said it was the ingestion of the glass that kills them. He said rats and mice and related rodents are disease ridden. And when they attempt to naw theough the concrete with the glass rat barrier in it the cut themselves. Once they get that open cut their demise comes shortly thereafter because of infection from being so contaminated with diseases and germs, bacteria.

I grew up using an edger. You are not using an edger. You have an attachment that resembles an edger. I edge with a string. String trimmer that is used by someone intelligent enough to know that a string trimmer is not meant to be used on concrete. It is used on vegetation. When I trim with string it looks like it was trimmed with an edger.

Maybe take the guard off your whacker and let the line run longer at a lower speed. It’s more efficient and quicker, looks just as good while not digging a trench for unwanted debri to fall in to.

If you really know what you're doing and got to experience that weed eater will do every job to cut that grass you can edge with it you can trim with it you can even decorate a cake if you're as good as I am I have 50 plus years of doing lawn service. You're not that damn smart. But keep cutting grass you'll finally find out one day that weed eaters all-purpose thank God for it because I remember when it even was not around. You used to have to use a sling blade. You know what that is. That's what the guys that's what the guys used to use on the chain game. So keep cutting grass good luck to yourself

A lot faster when you cutting the grass just use the trimmer the problem with the edger is it doesn't always cut the grass and then you have to waste time sharpening it when I could have done that in a few seconds also don't like my grass right up against the concrete but at the beginning of the season definitely a good thing to do to establish a edge especially if you have thick growing grass

That edger He uses his garbage I could trim with a weed wacker less than 5 minutes with my eyes closed and switch to the other side of the sidewalk without looking been doing it for 35 years I'm a landscaper

See when a string hits the concrete the concreate eats the string up so we use a metal panel to make sure your edger stays in goof shape and its that pesky sidewalk that gets destroyed.

Its gonna be a crackheads friend lol
